Space Kids

Back to games: Space Kids (Microprose – all ages) is a DOS-based program that will take you back to the PacMan days when simple animated characters ran around the screen with wooden briskness. The object of the game is to help a pair of egg-like siblings, Zeedle and Deet, find their famous space-exploring Grandpa. You’ll run up against a number of nasties, including Grunge who looks like a squished tomato wearing Doc Martins. Using the arrow keys to avoid rocks, throw objects, or guide a fireball toward Grunge is the high point of Space Kids. The good music notwithstanding, this is the kind of program that has been eclipsed by many far better ones.
