Great Paintings, Renaissance to Impressionism: The Frick Collection

Academics are the intended audience for Great Paintings, Renaissance to Impressionism: The Frick Collection and Ancient Egyptian Art: The Brooklyn Museum (Digital Collections). First, you must take the tour or you’re hopelessly confused. These look and act like Windows applications but, without help, you have no idea how to start. Get over that hump and you’ll find a pure reference tool with superb reproductions, fantastic close-up capabilities, text with history and provenance – all you might need for your thesis. If you want the ambiance of a museum visit, this is not for you. But, if you’re interested in building a library of definitive art history works, these two CD-ROMs are required. With the addition of the features we applauded inA Passion for Art, these titles would find a much wider audience.
