The Family Doctor, Third Edition

The Family Doctor, Third Edition (Creative Multimedia), is authored by the syndicated columnist Dr. Allan Bruckheim, and some of the content, such as the Q&A section, clearly comes from his columns. Other aspects of the program are straightforward reference sections, like the one on Rare Diseases, the Prescription Drug Guide, First Aid, and Anatomy. The search function can get a little complicated, between the four related subjects you can enter and all the options for expanding or narrowing the parameters; it should be simplified. In general, this is neither the best or the worst of the medical reference titles. You get large chunks of information, a fairly skillful use of multimedia, and easy to digest answers from the good doctor.
