Reverend Lowell’s Treasury of Humor: Laughter in the House of God
Finally, there’s Reverend Lowell’s Treasury of Humor: Laughter in the House of God (Micro Star Software), a collection of about 400 jokes concerning religion. One of them is mildly amusing. A priest, a rabbi, and a minister are in a boat. The priest gets out and walks on water. The rabbi gets out and walks on water. The minister gets out and almost drowns. The rabbi says to the priest, “Shouldn’t we tell him where the rocks are?” Ah ha ha ha! That’s as good as it gets. There are a couple of lousy drawings on the disc, but the content is overwhelmingly text – and not much of it, at that. The packaging implies that you’ll be receiving thousands of jokes, but the truth is you’ll have to send away for other discs. Don’t. The search function is the only reason this is on CD-ROM but, with this little material, the only thing worth searching for is the Exit button.
