PC Magazine
If you must have your periodicals on CD-ROM, you’re a candidate for a subscription to PC Magazine (Ziff-Davis Publishing Co., 22 issues per year). If you expect it to be different from the print version, you’ll be disappointed. The advantage of the CD-ROM version is that it makes a compact reference tool, if that’s important to you. There are some previews and demos included which do give it a dimension lacking in the print version, but all in all it’s not that different. Each issue contains one full year of the magazine (i.e., September 1994-September 1995), which is handy for electronic browsing.
