Voyage Through the Solar System
Voyage Through the Solar System (Palo/Haklar Multimedia) is a better-than-average CD-ROM. There is no problem installing or understanding this disc. From the opening menu, a very classy visual of the solar system, you can click on a planet for information, stills, and videos. From a second menu, you can access data charts that provide facts on the planets and the Sun. The text and narration are intelligent and the visuals, from NASA and The Jet Propulsion Lab, are stunning. Voyage Through the Solar System also includes a Glossary, which is helpful, but it’s limited by the lack of search capabilities. This is a good title that could go much further than it does. More content, more depth, and more interactive features would make this a truly excellent reference work.
